Member Policies

Members are expected to conduct themselves in the highest standards and comply with any and all Summa Health Wellness Center policies. For the comfort of all members, please adhere to the following policies:

General Policies

  • Appropriate attire is required in all areas of the facility. SHWC reserves the right to determine what is appropriate attire.
  • For privacy concerns, cell phones are strictly prohibited in the locker rooms. Please refrain from cell phone use on the fitness floors, group exercise studios, and pool.
  • Parking on the east side of the building in the designated Rehab Services spaces is prohibited during medical business hours.

Equipment Etiquette

  • Use provided towels and disinfectant spray to clean equipment after each use. Please spray the towel and not the equipment.

  • Rack all weights and return equipment to its proper location after each use.
  • For the comfort of other members, avoid excess noise such as dropping weights, loud grunting and yelling. (Save the singing for the shower!)

Cell Phone Etiquette

For the privacy and respect of all members, please adhere to the following policies:

  • Cell phone use is strictly prohibited in all areas of the locker rooms, including saunas and steam rooms. This includes texting, checking emails, sharing photos, etc.
  • Unless approved by management, photography, videotaping, filming, and audio recordings are prohibited in the facility. This includes selfies.
  • In consideration of others, please refrain from talking on your cell phone while in the studios, on equipment, or in the spa. Please step away from the fitness areas while conversing on your phone.

Violation of these policies may result in termination of membership.
